Mandisa Dlamini

Mandisa Dlamini is a daughter of a HIV Activist Gugu Dlamini, who was stoned to death in 1998 after disclosing her HIV status KwaMancinza in Durban. Mandisa Dlamini is a Founder of Gugu Dlamini Foundation and an Activist, an NPO based in Ntuzuma B (Kwa Mancinza) Durban, that was established in 2010. The organization focuses on empowerment and skills development as a weapon to address social ills and for betterment of the lives of community members. Mandisa has conducted talks on Health and social issues in the private and public sector e.g. Toyota, RAF, Harmony mines, American Embassy Head office. She is also a member of Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) , a member of the 76 African young women leaders under Michael Obama Initiative. CAREER she has embarked herself to international actions with the goal of bringing about change by lobbying with government structures and private sector to create better environment for people who are HIV infected and affected as well as youth skills development. she has provided counselling and participated in research, development and evaluating projects that all work to make changes in the large system
